
(FREEPORT, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Seth I. Koslow (D – Freeport), ranking member of the Legislature’s Public Safety committee, joined the Freeport community at Porsche South Shore on Thursday, April 3 to celebrate the retirement of Freeport Police Department officer Bobby Ford. During the festivities, Legislator Koslow presented Ford with a Nassau County Legislature Citation in recognition of his longtime service to the community as a Freeport PD officer and leadership as the Executive Director of Freeport PAL. In addition to his law enforcement roles, Ford is the owner of Bobby Q’s restaurant.
“For decades, Bobby Ford has been a fixture of the Freeport community, and it was wonderful to see so much support and gratitude for him as he embarks upon an exciting new chapter in his life,” Legislator Koslow said. “It was a privilege to thank Bobby for a job well done - I applaud him for always being ready to step up to serve the public.”
