(MERRICK, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Seth I. Koslow (D – Merrick) once again had the privilege of serving as a guest reader during the Merrick Union Free School District’s Community Read Aloud at The Chatterton School on Friday, Jan. 24.
Legislator Koslow joined a group of business leaders, community members and other school family members in reading to students during the Pick a Reading Partner (PARP). Co-organized by PTA members, school librarian Eileen Widasky and Donna Dimino from the school's main office, this year's PARP theme was Reading Takes You Places,” and Legislator Koslow read “The Boy Who Loved Maps” by Kari Allen.
“It is always a joy to share the power of storytelling with our students and encourage them to enrich their young minds with books and cultivate a love for reading that will last them a lifetime,” Legislator Koslow said. “Thank you to everyone at The Chatterton School for including me in a great event – one that is emblematic of all you do to enrich the lives of our children!”
