Legislator Koslow Hosts Veterans’ Job and Resource Fair at Temple Beth Am of Merrick & Bellmore

WHAT – Nassau County Legislator Seth I. Koslow (D – Merrick) is partnering with local business leaders, social services agencies, and career counselors to host a Job and Resource fair for veterans at Temple Beth Am of Merrick and Bellmore on Monday, Nov. 4.

During the event, veterans will have the opportunity to connect with employment prospects and essential resources that can help them get them on the right track. These include but are not limited to representative from various industries; resume building tips and interview coaching; access to veterans-specific resources; networking with veteran support organizations; free workshops and more. The event is open to all veterans, service members and their families.

“Nassau County has one of the largest veteran populations of any community in America, and their experience gives them unique skills and insights that would benefit any workplace fortunate enough to have them,” Legislator Koslow said. “I am proud to be working with Temple Beth Am and a great team of employers, social service agencies and advocates for veterans to host a job fair one week before Veterans Day that will give the men and women who served our nation every opportunity to thrive in the private sector.”
