FREEPORT, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Seth I. Koslow (D – Merrick) celebrated with the graduates of the Woodward Children’s Center in Freeport on Wednesday, June 26. Since opening its doors in 1957 under the direction of Freeporter Gertrude Berman, Woodward has been providing inclusive and supportive educational services for students with special needs so that each graduate is equipped with “the social and emotional skills necessary to face life’s challenges” and a “cutting edge education to meet the demands of the future.”
“Celebrating the incredible achievements of these resilient students and witnessing their hard work and dedication was truly inspiring,” Legislator Koslow said. “It was a great honor to attend Woodward’s graduation ceremony and congratulate the graduates and their families on this tremendous accomplishment. I wish them all the best for a bright and prosperous future!”
