(MERRICK, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Seth I. Koslow (D – Merrick) joined the South Merrick Community Civic Association on Wednesday, Jan. 17 for a presentation by Israeli Defense Force (IDF) veteran David Sussman.
Working with Just One Chesed, a not-for-profit organization that connects people in need with those who want to help, Sussman has channeled the unfathomable pain he experienced following the Oct. 7 massacre upon Israel by Hamas terrorists into advocacy and philanthropy for thousands of Israeli soldiers and civilians in need of medical and tactical supplies and other essentials. To date, Just One Chesed’s Aid4Israel project has netted more than two-thirds of its $4.5 million fundraising goal for frontline relief and supplies.
“Through his tireless efforts, David is helping the world bear witness to the atrocities that shook our world while bringing comfort to Israel and empowering people in Nassau County and across Long Island to lend a helping hand,” Legislator Koslow said. “His presentation to the South Merrick Community Civic Association was both heart-wrenching and inspiring, and I thank the Civic Association for giving him a platform to share his important message with our community.”
