Legislator-Elect Koslow Hosts Toys for Tots Event at Freeport's Destiny House Christian Center
(FREEPORT, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator-Elect Seth Koslow (D - Merrick) joined forces with the Destiny House Christian Center in Freeport to ring in the holiday season with a Toys for Tots holiday giveaway on Sunday, Dec. 17. Legislator-Elect Koslow joined with volunteers in distributing hundreds of toys as part of the festivities.
The items given away during this event were among the more than 150,000 individual donations that were gathered outside Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on Sunday, Dec. 3 during the nation's largest one-day Toys for Tots donation event.
"The smiles that we saw on Sunday afternoon were a powerful reminder of how a simple act such as donating a toy can give its recipient a feeling of hope and the knowledge that another person cares deeply about their well-being," Legislator-Elect Koslow said. "We had a wonderful time visiting the Destiny House Christian Center and are grateful to have been given the opportunity to celebrate the season with them in such a meaningful way."
