(MERRICK, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Seth I. Koslow (D - Merrick) partnered with NuHealth and the Breast Imaging Center at Nassau University Medical Center to bring the breast cancer screening van to Temple Beth Am on Wednesday, Feb. 14. During the event, women who pre-registered through Legislator Koslow’s office received free mammograms, breast exams, and self-examination instructions from a medical professional.
“Early detection is critical to successful outcomes in the fight against breast cancer, and it is essential to ensure that all women have convenient access to potentially life-saving exams and health resources,” Legislator Koslow said. “I thank Nassau University Medical Center staff and everyone at Temple Beth Am for partnering with us to host this important opportunity for our community.”
