(EAST MEADOW, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Seth I. Koslow (D – Merrick) visited the Nassau County Veterans Service Agency on Thursday, Sept. 19. Located in Building Q on the Nassau University Medical Center campus at 2201 Hempstead Turnpike in East Meadow, the Veterans Service Agency’s comprehensive services include the “Vet Mart,” a veterans food pantry that is powered by donations from Nassau residents. “Our county is home to one of our nation’s largest veteran populations, and we have an obligation to meet the needs of the men and women who served our nation,” Legislator Koslow said. “Each of us can support Vet Mart’s noble mission by making our own contribution today, and I applaud Director Ralph Esposito for spearheading this noble effort and all the Veterans Services Agency does for the people who so valiantly served our country.”
Vet Mart is open weekdays from 9 a.m. – noon. For more information or to make a donation, visit https://www.nassaucountyny.gov/1945/Veterans-Service-Agency or call 516-572-6565.
