Mulé Partners with Nassau Police Department To Offer Free Car Seat Safety Checks in Roosevelt

WHAT: Nassau County Legislator Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) is partnering with the Nassau County Police Department’s Office of Community Affairs and Nassau County’s Department of Traffic Safety to provide free Child Car Seat Safety Checks at Harmony Health Care Long Island in Roosevelt from 9 a.m. – noon on Wednesday, Sept. 18.

Certified technicians will apply their expertise toward ensuring car seats are properly installed and providing optimal protection. Residents with children who use car seats or booster seats are encouraged to have their car seats professionally checked.

“There is nothing more important than the safety of our families and ensuring that our car seat is properly installed is one of the simplest, most important ways we can protect our most precious cargo in our day-to-day lives,” Legislator Mulé said. “If you are a parent, grandparent or guardian who regularly transports a youngster in a car seat, call my office today and make an appointment that will give you and your loved ones the security and peace of mind you deserve.”

Appointments are required. Contact Legislator Mulé’s office at 516-571-6206 or dmule@nassaucountyny.gov for additional information and to make an appointment.
