(FREEPORT, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Seth I. Koslow (D – Freeport) joined the Cedarmore Corporation Big Brothers Association’s Summer Showcase Family Fun Night at Bishop Frank O. White Memorial Park in Freeport on Thursday, July 25. Organizers brought together an array of community resources for families to avail themselves of, and family-friendly activities and giveaways ensured there was something for all ages to enjoy.
As part of the festivities, Legislator Koslow read to some of the youngsters in attendance as part of Cedarmore’s “Readers Become Leaders” initiative, which seeks to foster a lifelong love of reading by giving students books over the summer to read.
The final installment Family Fun Night in this series is set for 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 1.
“Every year, the Cedarmore Summer Showcase series and especially these family fun nights do so much to bring us together in the common interest of creating lasting memories and building the bonds that make our communities stronger and better places to live,” Legislator Koslow said. “Thank you to everyone at the Cedarmore Corporation and all of the sponsors for making this event possible!”
