(MERRICK, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Seth I. Koslow (D – Merrick) visited the Norman J. Levy Lakeside School on Wednesday, Feb. 14 to thank sixth graders there for spreading the love on Valentine’s Day. There, youngsters were hard at work making sandwiches for the River Fund, an anti-poverty nonprofit that helps people with food insecurity.
“My heart was full after seeing these students so hard at work on Valentine’s Day to help neighbors in need,” Legislator Koslow said. “Efforts like these offer a lifeline to people who are facing hard times, and I am hopeful that this passion for giving back will grow stronger throughout the year. Thank you to all of the volunteers and organizers who made this project a great success!”
