(MERRICK, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Seth I. Koslow once again had the privilege of serving as a guest reader during the Merrick Union Free School District’s Community Read Aloud at Levy Lakeside Elementary School on Monday, Feb. 5.
Legislator Koslow joined a group of business leaders, community members and other school family members in reading to students to kick off Pick a Reading Partner (PARP) Week. The event was organized jointly by the Lakeside PTA, and school librarian Melissa Levine selected stories that reflect the Levy Lakeside values of making an impact on others. Legislator Koslow read “Enemy Pie” to Mrs. Lagasse’s 4th grade class.
“It is always a pleasure to support our local public schools and be a part of initiatives like PARP that help cultivate a lifelong love of reading in the next generation,” Legislator Koslow said. “Thank you to the Lakeside PTA and the entire Lakeside Elementary team for all of your hard work and inviting me to take part in such a successful event!”
