(FREEPORT, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Seth I. Koslow (D – Merrick) partnered with New York State Senator Kevin Thomas to host three senior health expos in October, concluding with an event at the Freeport Recreation Center on Thursday, Oct. 24. There, attendees were able to receive free screenings and information from more than 100 vendors, and they were given the opportunity to receive assistance with senior benefit applications, get their flu shots and COVID boosters (Legislator Koslow, pictured above, was given a flu shot) and more. Previous installments of the series included events in Garden City on Oct. 1 and an Oct. 18 program in Rockville Centre.
“With winter fast approaching and all of the health challenges that can entail for our seniors, this was an ideal time to bring so many of our service providers together under one roof assist our community,” Legislator Koslow said. “I am thankful to everyone who stepped up and made themselves available to help the Freeport community and was happy for the opportunity to partner with Senator Thomas to make this event a success.”
