(BELLMORE, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Seth I. Koslow (D – Merrick) on Thursday, Feb. 20 honored North Bellmore resident Gary Glick, who has served as Commander of the Jewish War Veterans Post 652 for more than 15 years, for being named the Bellmore Herald’s Person of the Year for 2024.
“In every aspect of Gary’s life – whether as a member of the U.S. Army, a Chaplain’s Assistant, his private-sector work in the HVAC industry or leadership of Post 652 – his commitment to service has been the common thread,” Legislator Koslow said. “Gary Glick has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to assisting veterans with PTSD, amplifying the personal stories of our servicemembers, and fighting to eradicate antisemitism wherever it exists – all of which made him a truly deserving recipient of the Bellmore Herald’s Person of the Year honor.”
