(FREEPORT and NORTH MERRICK, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Seth I. Koslow (D – Merrick) thanks the communities of the Fifth Legislative District and the Freeport-Merrick Rotary Club for the success of his office’s inaugural winter coat drive. The monthlong drive, which concluded on Dec. 22, yielded an array of new and gently used winter jackets, as well as donations of other winter essentials like scarves, gloves, and hats. CYBS Accountants & Tax Specialists LLC in Freeport and the North Merrick Public Library served as drop-off points.
“The Freeport Merrick Rotary Club was honored to collaborate with Legislature Seth Koslow to assist with his coat drive,” said Freeport-Merrick Rotary Club President Jordan Pecora. “We are excited that many individuals will benefit from these much-needed items during the winter months, and the Freeport Merrick Rotary Club is looking forward to future collaborations with Legislator Koslow.”
“The giving spirit of the holiday season was on full display in our office’s first winter coat drive, and deserving families all throughout our region will be the benefactors of this generosity,” Legislator Koslow said. “At the dawn of this new year, I am deeply grateful to our partners at the Freeport-Merrick Rotary Club, CYBS Accountants, the North Merrick Public Library and our wonderfully generous donors for making this effort so successful.”
