(HEMPSTEAD, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislators Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) and Seth I. Koslow (D – Merrick) joined New York State Attorney General Letitia James on Monday, March 3 as guest speakers at the Attorney General’s community forum at Bethlehem of Judea Church in Hempstead. The event focused on the importance of understanding land transactions by faith-based organizations.
“It is extremely important for our local faith leaders to have all of the resources they need to navigate the legal requirements of real estate transactions and safeguard themselves from being taken advantage of,” Legislator Davis said. “I am thankful that the Attorney General is proactively focusing on protecting them from unscrupulous actors, and I appreciate Rev. Dean and the Bethlehem of Judea Baptist Church for hosting this important seminar.”
