(ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) joined Deputy Mayor Kathy Baxley and Trustee Katie Conlon and the Phillips House Museum Board of Directors, including Matt Cliszis and Jim Belling, at the Rockville Centre Historical Society’s inaugural Night at the Museum fundraiser on Saturday, May 18.
It was a jam-packed weekend for the Historical Society – after more than 100 supporters of the Museum attended Saturday’s event, the Historical Society hosted an Antiques Appraisal Day on Sunday afternoon featuring Phil Weiss from PBS’ “Antiques Roadshow”.
“The Rockville Centre Historical Society have been outstanding stewards of our Village’s historical treasures for so many years, and the Phillips House is one of the true gems in its care,” Legislator Davis said. “I am so glad to see such strong support for historic preservation and I look forward to this event becoming an annual tradition in our community.”
