(HEMPSTEAD, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) joined with the members and leaders of the Hempstead Chamber of Commerce at the Joysetta & Julius Pearse African American Museum of Nassau County for their annual installation ceremony on Wednesday, June 26.
There, Legislator Davis joined former New York Governor and Hempstead native David Paterson in congratulating Chamber President LaShawn Lukes and fellow Chamber officers; members of the Board of Directors; Hempstead Chamber of Commerce Youth Scholarship winners; and recipients of special Hempstead Chamber of Commerce service awards.
“On a daily basis, the Hempstead Chamber of Commerce demonstrates a truly admirable commitment to advocating for the interests of small business owners and the needs of the greater Hempstead community,” Legislator Davis said. “It is a pleasure to work with President LaShawn Lukes, her fellow officers and the entire Hempstead Chamber board to create new opportunities for prosperity and growth in the community we love and hold dear.”
