Davis Celebrates Donation of Winter Coats to EAC Network

Davis - EAC Network 1

(GARDEN CITY, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) joined EAC Network staff and Board members and his Nassau and Suffolk colleagues in government in Garden City on Friday, Nov. 15 to celebrate a donation of thousands of brand-new children’s winter coats and apparel from Kids Helping Kids. As part of Kids Helping Kids’ annual “Making a Warmth of Difference” winter apparel drive, Bob Eslick, Executive Director of Kids Helping Kids, personally delivered the 75 cartons of winter apparel to EAC Network’s administrative offices, which Legislator Davis helped unpack.

EAC officials will distribute the winter essentials to children who have experienced abuse, neglect, or sexual exploitation, along with those in foster care, those living with a parent or guardian facing challenges such as substance abuse, mental illness, or financial instability, as well as other children in need throughout EAC’s Long Island and New York City programs.

“With winter fast approaching and colder temperatures already upon us, the generosity demonstrated by Kids Helping Kids will help EAC send a message to deserving youngsters throughout our region that they are cared for and valued,” Legislator Davis said. “It was a pleasure to join my colleagues and the leaders of Kids Helping Kids and the EAC Network as they rang in the season of giving with this moving philanthropic gesture.”
