(HEMPSTEAD, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) joined the Hempstead Chamber of Commerce and Hempstead Village officials at the Hempstead Housing Authority’s 260 Clinton Street community center on Monday, Nov. 19 for a “Friendsgiving” dinner for Hempstead seniors. He was joined at the event by Nassau County Legislature Alternate Deputy Minority Leader and New York State Senator-elect Siela A. Bynoe (D – Westbury), Hempstead Village Mayor Waylyn Hobbs, and Hempstead Village Trustee and Assemblyman-elect Noah Burroughs.
“There is much to give thanks for this time of year, and the generosity demonstrated by the event’s benefactors and so many of Hempstead’s local food establishments is high atop the list,” Legislator Davis said. “Thank you to LaShawn Lukes and her entire Hempstead Chamber for spearheading a wonderful event that brings our community together!”
