(OCEANSIDE, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) supported the Hispanic Brotherhood, Inc.’s 29th annual scholarship dinner on Thursday, May 9. Held at Temple Avodah in Oceanside, the event raises funds to provide financial assistance for deserving college students in the Rockville Centre School District.
The event’s honorees included New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli; Town of Hempstead Deputy Supervisor Dorothy L. Goosby; Joseph Tedesco, President & CEO Ocean Financial Federal Credit Union, Salvadoran American Chamber of Commerce; David Nemiroff, President & CEO, Harmony Healthcare; Eric Alexander, Director of Vision Long Island; attorney David Sperling; and Dr. Patrick M. O’Shaughnessy - President & CEO, Catholic Health Service.
“Through their philanthropic mission, the Hispanic Brotherhood has done so much during the last four decades to uplift the youth of our community and support their families as they pursue the American dream,” Legislator Davis said. “I am proud to support their efforts and congratulate the leaders of the Hispanic Brotherhood and the evening’s honorees for an outstanding event.”
