(ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) served as the guest speaker at Congregation B’Nai Sholom-Beth David and Central Synagogue Beth Emeth’s “Lessons from the Shoah” annual community Yom HaShoah commemoration on Sunday, May 5.
“As antisemitism rears its ugly head at an alarmingly increased rate of frequency, it is more important than ever to use our voices to teach the lessons of history, honor the millions of lives that were stolen through the barbaric Nazi reign of terror, and uphold the solemn vow of ‘never again’ in our community,” Legislator Davis said. “Speaking during this Yom HaShoah remembrance event was a humbling experience, and I am grateful to everyone who joined us in solidarity on this somber and moving occasion.”
