(MERRICK, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Seth I. Koslow (D – Merrick) recently joined the Merrick Volunteer Fire Department and his colleagues in local government at Bayview on the Water to celebrate ex-Chief John Fabian’s 50 years of service to the Merrick community. In honor of Chief Fabian’s golden anniversary in the Merrick Fire Department and Friendship Engine and Hose Company No. 2 on June 4, Legislator Koslow presented him with a Nassau County Legislature Citation in recognition of the major milestone. “It was beautiful to see so many men and women in uniform honoring Chief Fabian’s steadfast commitment to the volunteer fire service and all of our safety,” Legislator Koslow said. “Congratulations on achieving this remarkable milestone of selfless service to the greater Merrick community!”
