(FREEPORT and MERRICK, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Seth I. Koslow (D – Merrick) observed Veterans Day across the Fifth Legislative District in Freeport and Merrick. On Monday, Nov. 11, Legislator Koslow was on hand at ceremonies hosted by Merrick American Legion Post No. 1282 and Freeport-based William Clinton Story American Legion Post No. 342 to pay tribute to the men and women who served in America’s armed forces.
“On Veterans Day, it is vital for each of us to pause and reflect upon the sacrifices that so many of our fellow citizens make on a daily basis to protect our freedoms so that we can continue our pursuit of forming a more perfect American union,” Legislator Koslow said. “I am deeply grateful to all who wore our nation’s uniform with distinction and courage, and I pray for the continued safety of the men and women around the world who valiantly protect the United States and all we hold dear through their continued service.”
