(FREEPORT, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Seth I. Koslow (D – Merrick) visited the Woodward Children’s Center on Friday, March 28, where he attended the school’s science fair and met with Woodward Executive Director Greg Ingino and board members to discuss the institution’s key legislative priorities. Since opening its doors in 1957 under the direction of Freeporter Gertrude Berman, the Woodward Children’s Center has been providing inclusive and supportive educational services for students with special needs.
“For nearly seven decades, the Woodward Children’s Center has delivered outstanding educational services to help students prepare for further education, employment, and independent living, and their recent science fair is just the latest demonstration of their commitment to fulfilling this mission,” Legislator Koslow said. “It was a pleasure to join the students for their science fair and meet with the board to hear their vision for the future of this vital institution.”
