(UNIONDALE, N.Y) – Nassau County Legislator Seth I. Koslow (D – Merrick) joined leaders in law enforcement and his colleagues in government at the David S. Mack Center for Training and Intelligence on Monday, Sept. 9 to celebrate the graduation of Correction Officer Recruit Class No. 112.
The 16-member graduating class, which includes local residents David Ramsingh and Devatori St. Louis, of Freeport, and Timothy Reid and Cody Vassallo, of Merrick, completed 12 weeks of intense training prior to Monday’s ceremony.
“Driven by a devotion to public service and guided by their rigorous training, Nassau County’s corrections officers make tremendously important contributions toward keeping communities safe and preserving our quality of life,” Legislator Koslow said. “I congratulate each of today’s 16 graduates for reaching this milestone, wish them success and safety as they embark upon their new careers in law enforcement, and remain focused upon further increasing their ranks to address the staffing shortages that have for far too long been an issue.”
