(ROCKVILLE CENTRE and BALDWIN, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Seth I. Koslow (D – Merrick) surprised constituent and longtime friend Scott Dunn by recognizing him during a Sunday, March 24 performance of the Long Island Youth Orchestra at Molloy College.
Dunn, who has served as Musical Director and Conductor of the Long Island Youth Orchestra since 2012, received a Nassau County Legislature Citation from Legislator Koslow in recognition of his work to cultivate the musical talents of Long Island’s youth. Professionally, Dunn works as Director of Bands for Baldwin High School.
“Scott has a gift for fostering our youth’s creativity and empowering them to shine on the concert stage – something he has demonstrated time and again through his leadership of Baldwin High School and the Long Island Youth Orchestra,” Legislator Koslow said. “He is richly deserving of this honor from Nassau County – as well as the booming applause he and the orchestra received during their wonderful performance. Congratulations, Scott!”
