(MERRICK, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Seth I. Koslow (D – Merrick) proudly attended the inaugural Enable Athletics symposium on Monday, March 11. The nonprofit organization, which was brainchild of Mepham High School 2024 valedictorian and Regeneron scholar Christiana Foufas, seeks to promote adaptive sports, and the event featured speeches and demonstrations from amputee soccer player Jovan Booker and weightlifter/wrestler Rohan Murphy.
“By creating opportunities for athletes to participate in adaptive sports, Enable Athletics is helping enrich the lives of our residents and creating an atmosphere in which sports competition is available to every person,” Legislator Koslow said. “I commend Christina for an excellent inaugural event and look forward to what she and Enable Athletics will accomplish in the future!”
