Statement from Nassau County Legislator Debra Mulé in Support of March Against Anti-Semitism
(MINEOLA, N.Y.) - Thousands of Long Islanders, including religious leaders, elected officials and citizens, joined forces for the Long Island March Against Anti-Semitism on Sunday, Jan. 12. The march was one of the bi-county Task Force Against Anti-Semitism and Symbols of Hate’s inaugural initiatives.
“Hatred grows when good people are confronted with it and remain on the sidelines. That is why it is so important to affirm our solidarity with Jewish people through our words and actions,” Nassau County Legislator Debra Mulé (D - Freeport) said. “During the March Against Anti-Semitism, Nassau County residents showed what is possible when conscientious people unite to embrace diversity and denounce hatred.”
