(FREEPORT, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Debra Mulé (D - Freeport) supported Mission Helping Hands’ “Hometown Heroes” fundraiser on Saturday, May 21 at BrewSA Brewing Company in Freeport. Proceeds from the event will go toward the construction of the Iraq/Afghanistan War Monument at Eisenhower Park. “The success of this event is just another example of how Nassau County will never waver in its commitment to remembering the men and women who lost their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan,” Legislator Mulé said. “Thank you to BrewSA Brewing Company and Mission Helping Hands for doing their part to ensure that the memory of their service never fades.”
