WHAT: Nassau County Legislator Debra Mulé (D - Freeport) is partnering with New York State Assembly Member Judy Griffin to host a community cleanup at Baldwin’s Lofts Pond Park. Residents and nature lovers from around the region are welcome to attend and pitch in.
Supplies will be available at the entrance of the park; please bring gloves, rakes, and pokers/grabbers. Participants are urged to wear long pants and other protective attire for their health and safety. COVID-19 prevention protocols, including wearing of masks and physical distancing, will be observed.
“Nestled in the heart of Baldwin, Lofts Pond Park is a tranquil destination for parkgoers and nature lovers,” Legislator Mulé said. “With the autumn months upon us, there’s no better time to roll up our sleeves and give this beloved community space some much-deserved TLC. I look forward to seeing you this Saturday - and if you do join us, don’t forget to wear your mask!”
