(FREEPORT, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislators Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) and Seth I. Koslow (D – Merrick) had the high honor of presenting the Nassau County D.E.E.P. Award to recent Freeport High School graduates Sejla Omeragic and Isaiah Flynn. The D.E.E.P. award is presented to students who demonstrate dedication to community service; enthusiasm for education; excellence in character; and participation in extracurricular activities.

“Isaiah’s outstanding achievements throughout his high school career demonstrate his commitment to making the world around him a better place,” Legislator Mulé said. “His dedication and hard work have truly paid off, and I am confident that he has a bright future ahead. It was an honor to congratulate Isiaih and wish him continued success in the next chapter of his educational journey!”

“Sejla’s artistic creativity, athletic leadership and academic excellence have led her to excel in Freeport schools, and I have no doubt that these traits will serve her well as she pursues higher education and her professional dreams,” Legislator Koslow said. “Our youth hold the keys to our world’s future – and young leaders like Sejla fill me with optimism for better days ahead.”
