(FREEPORT, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Seth I. Koslow (D - Merrick) joined the Freeport community for its 15th annual Peace March on Saturday, May 4. Legislator Koslow joined hundreds of yellow-clad participants in a march from Freeport High School east on Pine Street to Bayview Avenue; south to Merrick Road; west to Brookside Avenue and north on Brookside back to the high school. The tradition is spearheaded each year by Freeport Cares - a collaborative partnership between the schools, village, and numerous community organizations.
“Freeport’s Peace March is a beautiful display of love, kindness, and unity at a time when our world needs so much more of all of those things,” Legislator Koslow said. “As an elected official and a father, it was truly inspiring to see our school community mobilize in this way, and I applaud Freeport Cares and all of the participants for making this such a meaningful event.”
