(FREEPORT, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Debra Mulé (D - Freeport) joined the Freeport Chamber of Commerce and her colleagues in government on Wednesday, Jan. 5 for a ribbon-cutting ceremony and celebration of the grand re-opening of Freeport’s Empire 99 Cents & Up store. The store was badly damaged in March 2021 after a car crashed into a neighboring storefront and caught fire. “I am so thrilled that the hard work and dedication of Albert Khan and his family have brought them to this wonderful moment when they were able to reopen their doors,” Legislator Mulé said. “I applaud them for their perseverance and wish them all the best as they continue to serve the Freeport community!”
