(FREEPORT, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Debra Mulé (D - Freeport) joined the Nassau Police Veterans Association and Project: Epoxy at Freeport’s BrewSA Brewing Company on Monday, Sept. 20. There, the organizations were hosting a charity cornhole tournament to raise funds for the families of 13 American soldiers who were killed during the Aug. 26 Kabul airport suicide bombing in Afghanistan.
“As the families of these brave American soldiers continue to grapple with the shock and devastation of such a sudden loss, I am heartened by the fact that Nassau County residents are stepping up to lend their support,” Legislator Mulé said. “We are all grateful to Matt and Kevin of the Nassau Police Veterans Association for organizing this event and thank BrewSA for extending their hospitality in hosting this fundraiser.”
