DEAR EDITOR:
During the next year, Nassau County will be developing a Shared Mobility Plan as part of its commitment to improving transportation options for residents, workers, students and visitors.
As a member of the Nassau County Legislature’s Economic & Community Development, Transportation and Labor committee, I share the County’s commitment to identifying new and enhanced transportation services that will place our region on a bold trajectory toward greater prosperity and accessibility.
Will that future include flexible/on-demand transit? Bike and scooter share programs? Ride-hailing services? Or, perhaps an approach we have not yet contemplated? Make your voice heard by visiting www.nassaumobility.com/survey and completing the Shared Mobility Management Plan Survey before Friday, Sept. 3. Individual survey responses are kept anonymous.
For more information about the Shared Mobility Plan, visit www.nassaumobility.com, and feel free to contact my office at 516-571-6205 or dmule@nassaucountyny.gov with your questions and suggestions.
Your participation in this important survey will provide us with crucial insights that will help shape the future of our transporation infrastructure in the near term and future generations.
