(BALDWIN, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Debra Mulé (D - Freeport) visited Sanitary District No. 2’s Grand Avenue garage and office in Baldwin on Saturday, Oct. 3 for their one-stop Operation Shed-The-Meds, document shredding and E-cycling drop-off day. Legislator Mulé joined community organizations and her partners in government as a co-sponsor of the event, which gave Baldwin, South Hempstead and Roosevelt residents in Sani 2’s service area an opportunity to securely dispose of unwanted prescription medication, electronic waste, and documents containing sensitive personal data. “Through this event, Sani 2 provided residents with an environmentally-friendly, COVID-safe opportunity to prevent identity theft, keep unwanted prescription drugs out of the wrong hands and dispose of electronic waste properly,” Legislator Mulé said. “I was delighted to co-sponsor this important community service and look forward to future collaborations with Sani 2.”
