(FREEPORT, N.Y.) – Legislator Debra Mulé (D - Freeport) partnered with the Oceanside Public Library to practice social distancing by hosting a “Digital Story Time” a creative and innovative way to connect with children home from school due to the coronavirus.
Legislator Mulé read “Pig the Tourist” by Aaron Blabey, from her home in Freeport. Using the GoTomeeting platform, young readers and their families had the chance to ask questions about the book and virtually interact with Legislator Mulé.
“We are facing challenging times that our young children may not understand, so it is important that we come together to give them a sense of normalcy,” Legislator Mulé said. “I am honored to have partnered with the Oceanside Public Library to provide children with a fun and interactive way to learn.”
