Legislator Debra Mulé, Merrick Chamber of Commerce Lead ‘Complete Streets’ Walking Tour
The aim of the gathering was to give community residents a ground-level look at how the design principles can benefit Baldwin in upcoming Grand Avenue project.
(MERRICK, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) and Baldwin community stakeholders braved the cold on Saturday, Jan. 12 to learn more about Complete Streets design principles during a walking tour of downtown Merrick.
The purpose of the tour, which was led by the Merrick Chamber of Commerce, was for interested Baldwin residents to gain first-hand knowledge of Complete Streets principles, which are designed to improve safety for motorists, pedestrians and cyclists alike.
