(Baldwin, NY) – Legislator Laura Curran and the Baldwin Fire Department are co-sponsoring a community blood drive with the New York Blood Center on Friday, December 18, 2015 from 3:00 - 9:00 PM, at the Baldwin Fire Department in the 2nd Floor Meeting Room, located at 2386 Grand Ave., Baldwin, NY 11510. Every donor will receive a free T-shirt. Each donation helps save up to three lives. The winter months are historically low supply months and community hospitals need our help.
Donor requirements are:
- Bring valid ID
- Age requirements: 16 * to 76th birthday (16 year olds must have parental consent)
- A minimum weight of 110 lbs.
- Should eat well and drink fluids before donating
- No tattoos or body piercings for the past 12 months
