Nassau County Legislator Laura Curran (D-Baldwin) is hosting 3 seminars about the process of property valuation and how to file an appeal of the assessed value of your property if you disagree with your most recent assessment. The expert-led workshop on how to file a grievance of your tax assessment with the Assessment Review Commission will be a two-hour session providing guidance and a comprehensive step-by-step overview of the grievance process, and includes a Q & A session following the presentation.
(This year’s filing period is January 2 - March 2, 2015.)
The seminars will take place Thursday, January 29 at the Freeport Memorial Library from 6:30-8:30 P.M., Wednesday, February 4th at the Oceanside Library from 2-4 P.M., and Wednesday, February 11 at the Baldwin Public Library from 2-4 P.M.
