(SOUTH HEMPSTEAD, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Debra Mulé (D - Freeport) joined community leaders and her colleagues in government for the South Hempstead Fire Department’s Memorial Day observances on Sunday, May 30. Upon the conclusion of a caravan-style parade encompassing the fire district, Legislator Mulé led those in attendance for the Fire Department’s memorial service in singing the National Anthem and expressed her deep gratitude for all who lost their lives while in active military service. “On Memorial Day, we pause to mourn and remember every American who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving courageously serving their nation,” Legislator Mulé said. “It is always a pleasure to join the South Hempstead Fire Department for the solemn and beautiful ceremony they hold each year to honor our heroes.”
