(Freeport, NY) – Nassau County Legislator Laura Curran (D-Baldwin) of the Public Safety Committee, Village of Freeport Mayor Robert Kennedy, Raymond McGuire of the Nassau Fire Chiefs Association, Nassau Police PBA officials will be joined by local community and business leaders to provide a ''THANK YOU'' Thanksgiving luncheon to firefighters, police officers and other first responders working on Thursday, November 26, 2015 (Thanksgiving Day) at 11:00 am at the Freeport Fire Department. Dover Catering will be providing free Thanksgiving feasts to first responders to show appreciation for the sacrifices they make in providing life-saving services for local residents, not only on the holiday but year-round.
Food and Trimmings will be delivered on Thanksgiving Day to those working at Nassau County Police Precincts and Fire Departments on Nassau County's South Shore. Thousands of Long Island fire, police, EMS, hospital and emergency personnel are on duty while some 2.8 million Long Islanders spend time with their families and loved ones to celebrate the holiday.
