Legislator Mulé Invites Residents to Securely Discard Medications, Documents and Electronics at Upcoming Sani 2 Disposal Event
WHAT - Nassau County Legislator Debra Mulé (D - Freeport) is once again proudly co-sponsoring Sanitary District No. 2’s upcoming one-stop Operation Shed-The-Meds, document shredding and E-cycling drop-off day.
From 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1, Baldwin, South Hempstead and Roosevelt residents in Sani 2’s service area will have the opportunity to securely dispose of unwanted prescription medication, electronic waste, and documents containing sensitive personal data at Sani 2’s Baldwin garage.
Key partners in the endeavor include the Town of Hempstead Employees Federal Credit Union; New York State Assemblywoman Judy Griffin; Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman; Hempstead Town Supervisor Donald X. Clavin; Hempstead Town Council Members Anthony D’Esposito and Christopher Carini; and the Baldwin Council Against Drug Abuse.
“This is a great opportunity to safely and securely dispose of unwanted documents, medications and electronic waste - even that old computer tower that is collecting dust in your basement,” Legislator Mulé said. “The best part is that you can do all of this without even getting out of your car! I’m delighted to once again co-sponsor this important community event with my colleagues and strongly encourage everyone to take advantage of this convenient opportunity.”
