(MINEOLA, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislature Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) and former Nassau County Legislator Wayne Wink (D – Roslyn) observed Earth Day in Nassau County by standing with labor and environmental advocates at a Tuesday, April 22 rally for wind energy at the Theodore Roosevelt Executive and Legislative Building.
“It was great to hear speakers from various backgrounds come together in support of wind energy and a sustainable future,” Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé said. “Building Nassau County’s green economy will create high-paying careers and free us from our nation’s dependence upon fossil fuels. It is time to combat the climate crisis and protect our planet.”
