(BALDWIN, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Debra Mulé (D - Freeport) proudly co-sponsored Sanitary District No. 2’s autumn Operation Shed-The-Meds, document shredding, and E-cycling drop-off day at the district’s Baldwin garage on Saturday, Sept. 21.
During the event, which was presented with key support from the Town of Hempstead Employees Federal Credit Union, the Baldwin Council Against Drug Abuse, and other local elected officials, Baldwin, South Hempstead and Roosevelt residents within Sani 2’s service area had the opportunity to securely dispose of unwanted prescription medication, electronic waste, and documents containing sensitive personal data.
“It is always a pleasure to work with the leaders of Sani 2 and all of our community partners to provide a convenient and secure way for our constituents to dispose of their unwanted documents, medications and e-waste in one convenient visit,” Legislator Mulé said. “Thank you to everyone who stepped up to make this a successful event that empowered our community members to safeguard their privacy, protect the environment, and keep drugs from falling into the hands of those who should not have them.”
