WHAT - Nassau County Legislator Debra Mulé (D - Freeport) is once again proudly co-sponsoring Sanitary District No. 2’s upcoming one-stop Operation Shed-The-Meds, document shredding and E-cycling drop-off day.
From 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, Baldwin, South Hempstead and Roosevelt residents in Sani 2’s service area will have the opportunity to securely dispose of unwanted prescription medication, electronic waste, and documents containing sensitive personal data at Sani 2’s Baldwin garage.
Additional partners include the Town of Hempstead Employees Federal Credit Union; Congressman Anthony D’Esposito; Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman; Hempstead Town Supervisor Donald X. Clavin; New York State Assemblyman Brian Curran and the Baldwin Council Against Drug Abuse.
“I truly appreciate how Sani 2 works with our community partners to make it easy for residents to securely dispose of unwanted documents, medications and e-waste in one visit,” Legislator Mulé said. “If you live in Sani 2’s coverage area and need to clean out your medicine cabinet, recycle unwanted devices or destroy sensitive documents, I encourage you to take advantage of this convenient opportunity to protect your privacy and keep drugs out of the wrong hands.”
