(BALDWIN, N.Y.) – In observance of February as Black History Month, Nassau County Legislator Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) honored Baldwin School Board Trustee Annie Doresca during a recent school board meeting. Legislator Mulé presented Trustee Doresca, who was first elected to the board in 2015, with a Nassau County Legislature Citation in recognition of her leadership and steadfast commitment to community service.
“Baldwin’s young people benefit tremendously from Annie’s dedication to public education and her understanding of its vital role in illuminating and celebrating our diverse heritage,” Legislator Mulé said. “By working collaboratively, we are paving the way to a brighter and more inclusive future, and it was a pleasure to recognize Annie as a trailblazer during Black History Month.”
