(EAST MEADOW, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Debra Mulé (D - Freeport) and her staff visited the Nassau County Veterans Service Agency on Tuesday, Sept. 24. Located in Building Q on the Nassau University Medical Center campus at 2201 Hempstead Turnpike in East Meadow, the Veterans Service Agency’s comprehensive services include the “Vet Mart,” a veterans food pantry that is powered by donation from Nassau residents. “Ralph Esposito and his outstanding team at the Veterans Service Agency do so much to help the men and women who gave so much of themselves while serving our country,” Legislator Mulé, ranking member of the Legislature’s Veterans committee, said. “Nassau is blessed with one of the largest populations of veterans anywhere in America, and we must never lose sight of our duty to ensure that their needs are always met. If you are looking for new ways to give back, this is a great place to start!”
Vet Mart is open weekdays from 9 a.m. – noon. For more information or to make a donation, visit https://www.nassaucountyny.gov/1945/Veterans-Service-Agency or call 516-572-6565.
