WHAT - Nassau County Legislator Debra Mulé (D - Freeport) and the Family and Children’s Association (FCA) are joining forces to host a presentation of FCA’s Free Nassau County Health Insurance Information Counseling and Assistance Program (HIICAP) at the Roosevelt Public Library at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24. HIICAP is a free service that aims to empower people with Medicare or about to become eligible for Medicare on how to make decisions to navigate the Medicare system.
“For people who are new to Medicare, deciding what plan to sign up for can be a daunting task, and it can be hard to know where to turn for assistance with navigating that process,” Legislator Mulé said. “I am pleased to be teaming up with the Family and Children’s Association to bring these vital resources to our community and I encourage anyone who has questions to join us on October 24 at the Roosevelt Library.”
